40 Days for Life Fall Kickoff September 23rd

Beginning Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Greater Cincinnati will unite again with other cities across North America and around the world for a massive coordinated pro-life mobilization-the 40 Days for Life prayer campaign in front of abortion centers.

Please join in standing for life through a 40-day peaceful public witness outside Planned Parenthood, 2314 Auburn Avenue in Cincinnati, September 23-November 1, asking God, through fervent prayer, for an end to abortion.

You are invited to attend the 40 Days for Life fall campaign kickoff in front of Planned Parenthood, 7:30 pm, Wednesday, September 23rd. The brief program will include prayer for the success of the campaign led by Archbishop Dennis Schnurr and several area ministers.

Information for those unfamiliar with this effort will be available at the kickoff. There will also be opportunity to register for a specific time during the 40 Days to come and pray publicly for an end to abortion and greater respect for all innocent human life.

The goal is to have individuals and churches sign up for specific hours to spend time in prayer at the site of the abortion holocaust-whatever you are able. Fasting is also encouraged as another way to beseech God's help in our human efforts.

To learn how you can take part or encourage your church or organization to join this effort, contact Mary Clark, Greater Cincinnati chair, 513/791-4039, cincinnatidays40@live.com, or see www.40daysforlife.com/Cincinnati.

Note: 40 Days for Life National Director, Shawn Carney, will be the keynote speaker for Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati's Evening for Life banquet, Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Schiff Conference Center, Xavier University. [more info]
