October 23, 2009 - Only nine days remain for the 40 Days for Life fall campaign in Greater Cincinnati, now through November 1, in front of Planned Parenthood's abortion headquarters, 2314 Auburn Avenue in Cincinnati (across from Christ Hospital). It's not too late to take part.
Those new to this prayer witness might want to take part in the final Friday candlelight prayer vigils tonight and October 30th, from 8-10pm. Information for the closing service, November 1, will be coming soon.
Here is another update from Greater Cincinnati chairperson Mary Clark:
I learned that on Monday of this week another 40 Days for Life participant who was not scheduled to come pray at Planned Parenthood, but came on a "hunch," as she put it, was blessed to observe how caring pro-life counselors reached out to a young pregnant woman in need. In her own words (except leaving out the name of the young woman):
"Just wanted to let you know that yesterday at PP a young woman came seeking an abortion - at least to set one up - and she ended up agreeing to go with us to the Women's Center for Health, Hope & Healing. She received an ultrasound there of her 7 week old baby and counseling and she is now at least considering keeping the baby. Although abortion is still in the mix here - so in any event she is in dire need of prayer. Just wanted to get the word out and ask for prayers for this young woman! Thank you all for this concerted effort - so many of these women don't even know that there are other options besides Planned Parenthood and abortion and contraception - so it is wonderful and humbling to be able to provide it to them! Praise Jesus!"
Please pray for this young woman and all those like her and ask God to give them the grace to make the right, life-giving decision and be at peace with that decision. We only have nine days left (including today) of this 40 Days for Life campaign. If you have not taken an hour, could you find time this coming week to sign up to pray publicly for all the young women who need to know that we are there because we care about them and their unborn babies? Please call me with any questions (513) 791-4039 or sign up on the calendar at www.40daysforlife.com/cincinnati
You may join at any time for any length of time - co-workers, team mates, all church denominations. Easy parking is available at Holy Name Church a few blocks down from PP, 2448 Auburn Ave. Prayer materials for private prayer are also available.
