January Respect Life Events - 37 Years Roe v. Wade - 50,000,000 Lives Lost to Abortion

January 8, 2010 - The following known events will be conducted to mark the sad memorial of the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which legalized abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy in this country.

Helpers of God's Precious Infants, Prayer Vigils for Life, January 2, 16, 23, 8 a.m. at Holy Name Church, Auburn Ave., Cincinnati; and January 9th, 8:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Western Hills (513/984-6742)


NOTE for this Saturday, January 9th, Helpers of God's Precious Infants: Archbishop Dennis Schnurr will celebrate the 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1175 Overlook Ave., Cincinnati 45238 and lead the processional to the Western Hills Planned Parenthood facility.


Third Friday Pro-Life Mass, January 15, noon; Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, Norwood, OH

March for Life Sendoff Prayer Service, January 21, 7 p.m., Good Shepherd Parish, 8815 East Kemper Rd. in Montgomery; Archbishop Dennis Schnurr will preside, open to the public along with students and adults from 16 Cincinnati area high schools & parishes going to the March in Washington, DC

Mass of Healing for Bereaved Parents, Thursday, January 21, 7pm, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7820 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, 45255. Father Tom Kriedler, Father Robert Hadden, and the IHM Respect Life and Elizabeth Ministries will host a Mass of Healing for parents or grandparents who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or other cause. Before Mass there will be an opportunity for parents who have lost a child or who have had a miscarriage to witness to their healing from loss. If you plan to attend or care to share your story, please call 513/474-0636. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be offered, and literature from support groups available.

Cincinnati March for Life Memorial, January 22, All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati; Mass 2 p.m. with Benediction; outdoor Rosary march at 3:15pm with bonfire and hot chocolate, followed by prayer service in church at 6 p.m.; for all ages; sponsored by All Saints, St. Vincent Ferrer, and St. Savior Youth Groups

26th Annual Pro-Life Rosary Procession, Jan. 23, 2010, Sat 11 a.m., Cincinnati City Hall to Fountain Square Rally at noon; speakers Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Monzel, Jack Gruber, Chairman Family First; Atty.
