Ohio State Representative, 34th District - Greg Delev (R)

The 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, did more than just "legalize" abortion on demand; they prohibited virtually any federal, state or local laws from protecting pre-born children from death by abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

  1. Do you support reversal of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton?

    Yes

  2. Do you support state legislation to ban abortion-on-demand from fertilization to birth?

    Yes
I would vote to outlaw abortion in Ohio and work to introduce such legislation. I would consider exceptions for medical emergency such as saving the life of the mother or a twin. I would sponsor or co-sponsor such legislation.

  3. Do you support legislation prohibiting use of tax money for organizations that promote or perform abortions?

    Yes
I would support such legislation and would sponsor or co-sponsor a bill if requested No government money should be used in any way to underwrite abortions in Ohio.

  4. Do you support medical standards, regulations, and inspection of abortion facilities?

    Yes
Any facility that performs any medical treatment including abortion facilities should be held to the highest standards and regulations, including proper inspection of the age of the persons having treatment and that the proper legal guardian has authorized such procedures. Violations should include criminal prosecution in certain cases.

  5. Do you support legislation prohibiting the killing of human embryos by extracting their stem cells for scientific research?

    Yes
Medical technology will soon no longer require stem cell research. The moral dilemma is when do we as humans become creators of life through scientific advances and do we need to begin discussing the limitations on how far we go and what the rights are of destroying life man created in a lab?

  6. Do you support legislation prohibiting all cloning of human beings?

    Yes
Cloning creates moral dilemmas and we need to understand the future of cloning. What happens if the human race can download ones brain memory and upload it into their new clone. While sounding far reaching this is where we may be going. Getting out front now establishing a position will help before it becomes reality.

  7. Do you support legislation prohibiting assisted suicide in Ohio?

    Yes
I would support and sponsor legislation

  8. Will you oppose any legislation or regulation (e.g., campaign finance reform) that has the purpose or effect of restricting, penalizing, chilling, discouraging or prohibiting citizens from contacting their elected representatives or urging others to do so on issues of importance to them?

    Yes
Our right to petition our government is essential to democracy and I would not only support all bills making our rights to petition our government, I would encourage less restrictive laws that limit or chill peoples rights to participate.

  9. List all the organizations to which you have contributed time or money in the past four years.
